Trained in a Simulated fire attack on a working car fire. We utilized our vehicle fire
prop on our training grounds here at the station. Our personnel practiced fire attack,
pump operations and relay pumping for water supply. Afterwards we went to one of
our water points and flowed the master stream in a relay pumping operation. Good
training had by all.
Station 36 trained juniors and new firefighters on proper use of personal protective
equipment (PPE) and techniques for deploying a "minute man" cross lay, as these
are essential skills for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of firefighting
operations. By providing comprehensive training in these areas, the station can
continue to uphold high standards of proficiency and readiness among its team

July 8th 2024 Northeast Stokes Volunteer Fire and Rescue trained on using our turbo
draft in pump operations. Our driver/operators trained on pump operations and our
younger/newer members trained on deployment. The turbo draft allows us to create
water points that are otherwise unusable by conventional drafting methods. It allows
us to reach sources up to 200' away from our truck. It has dramatically changed our
water supply opportunities within our district. By doing so it allows more water points
to be certified, thus helping keep our insurance rating low.

July 01 2024 Training at Northeast Stokes Volunteer fire & Rescue was based
around searching for down victims in structures and down firefighters during a
Mayday situation. We also practiced
VES (Vent enter search) on a second story room. We also threw a 24 foot ladder to
the roof of the second story to help new recruits with becoming more comfortable
when climbing ladders. The firefighters put in a hard night of training (Great going).

Station 36 personnel worked on hose line deployment and advancement drills as
well as how to properly manage hose lines while advancing into a structure. While
teamwork and coordination during deployment are critical for successful operations
in emergency situations these types of drills help our personnel with speed and
efficiency when the time occurs to utilize them.
