North Carolina HP Aviation Divsion Training
On Monday June 2nd 2025, Station 36 hosted the North Carolina Highway Patrol Aviation Division for a class on their search and rescue capabilities. Our members got to learn about the important role they can play in missing person cases and wide area search type calls. They have the ability to use multiple high resolution cameras in the day time as well as thermal and night vision cameras in the dark. They also have the ability to hoist and shirt rope haul victims that are inaccessible with traditional methods. We also sent 4 members to aid in a mutual aid water haul operation with Station 37. They utilized multiple fill sites to maintain a 500gpm water flow on scene.
